Something I think about a lot is how in Frozen, Elsa and Anna's parents really wanted to do what was best for their daughters and they tried their hardest but they still got it terribly wrong. They tried to follow the expert advice and failed.

It makes me think of how all of our parents probably failed us in some way, more likely if you were neurodiverse or queer, and how I may be failing my own kids, but the intentions are entirely pure. The parents in Frozen wanted their kids to be safe and happy, they loved those girls to death, but they didn't know how to meet their needs effectively. The best advice at the time or maybe what they learned from their parents was dead wrong. And in Anna's case, it's more about how when one child takes up a lot of time and energy, another may be left neglected unintentionally. Parents with a high needs children and typical children cannot help this, a lot of them can't afford adequate help (in this case, they isolated Elsa for safety and Anne was forced to be isolated too).

The harm and pain matters, but I think the intention does too. If a parent did harm from a sincere wish to do good, it's very different from malicious abuse. Anna and Elsa's parents really wanted to do the right thing.

(I'm not saying anyone deserves to be forgiven, just that I feel a lot of pity for parents who try their very best but get it completely wrong. Also, that "wise" Troll gave super vague advice and I blame him primarily for how Elsa was raised)

Bernard has a new online conspiracy theorist friend.

Tim is at least happy bernard has less conspiracy theories about the bats. However him going off about a whole branch of the government deemed as guys in white is a bit much.

Now. He sure the two are just feeding off one another.

But it gets a tad too specific at times. Bernard going into detailed accounts of different ghost then ways they may have died?

A tiny ghost in a suit of armor. He is even claiming that his online friend is actually king of an entire dimension of elite ghost warriors? But his friend hadn’t realized it yet.

Honestly if his friend whose username is d3as0rAliv3? wasn’t coming to visit Gotham. Which he has no idea why anyone would come here he’d be hunting him down right now.

He’ll still do his research of course. Tim will also accompanying Bernard for the meet up. Just to be on the safe side.

Now when they got to the library. He most certainly wasn’t expecting a kid their age with a black eye and bruising around the wrists.

Especially not that Danny actually had proof of this GIW and the fact they were actively hunting down beings from a dimension called the infinite realm.

Maybe it wasn’t all a conspiracy theory. How on earth did Bernard find the one person who could prove their was a secret government agency hell bent on breaking the meta protection acts.

if i failed to protect my kid during the apocalypse and they almost died wandering on their own but got rescued by a team of four competent, battle-experienced adults who cared about them very much and made them feel less scared and useless but refused to let them fight, i think that would be a pretty decent outcome and i'd be pretty okay with it. sure i could dream up a better situation but there's a hell of a lot of worse ones too.

Regulus Arcturus Black was to be crowned king in 1 year, 10 months, and 4 days.

Until then? He had work to do.

Frost had settled in heaps in his bones, his blood had become entrusted with frozen, icy crystals, his touch was like hail, and where his heart should be, a tall, deep, twisting glacier had made itself comfortable, resting in the cavern of his chest.

The winter had become intertwined with his soul.

Failing crops, freezing peasants, iced over oceans that meant no overseas shipments or fishing voyages. Overall, Arendele was hardly a year from total collapse and that was if they got lucky. The country had food reserves and (for now) large reserves of funds to trade or build bridges. Along with their neighbouring countries that were cordial to the highest extent of the word.

If he didn’t do something about this, Arendele wouldn’t make it to his coronation. Part of him didn’t mind that because right now he had far too much on his plate to manage a country that was actively taking bounds down the downward spiral. Regulus had to do something.

See, Regulus had a secret that the public didn’t know.

He knew the exact cause of the eternal winter. He knew who caused the eternal winter. Sirius Orion Black. His own big brother. Even thinking about him made the ice in his blood grow thicker and more solid now. It had been two years since his brother had stepped down from royalty and ran off with his tail between his legs, escaping the castle and all of the grimy hands and faces and expectations along with it. Sirius had gotten away and dropped every last one of his responsibilities as a soon to be monarch and son of Walburga and Orion Black (which was an entire new undertaking on its own) to Regulus.

Regulus who let himself be moulded by the weight of royalty. Regulus who had always begged for his parent’s appreciation. Regulus who couldn’t pretend to be amicable to save his life. Regulus who hated large gatherings. Regulus who had deep green eyes and loose curly hair. Regulus who was only sixteen. Regulus who was Sirius’ little brother.

And most of all? Regulus who was out for blood.

It didn't take him very long to figure all this out because to him, it was glaringly obvious. The only prince with powerful and dangerous ice magic. Daily he wonders how the people of Arendele never noticed that the old prince was hiding a large, frosty secret because it seemed entirely implausible for Regulus to have just one day, appeared with a large white streak in his once jet-black hair and the eyelashes of his left eye and chunks of his eyebrow even whiter.

Unsurprisingly, his parents had tried every type of dye that the country had to offer and any and every spell in their dust-ridden old books that could hope to keep his face looking the same. No hope. Every new dye would slide right off, every spell would just make him sick.

By the time they had given up, Regulus would’ve sworn his hair looked lighter than before. Eventually they announced that he had been wanting to make himself stand out as the ‘one-day leader of the City in the Sea’. He was shocked to his very core that it had worked - and that the people had no questions about the way the siblings did not appear in public at all for the next few weeks. Or that when they did, they hardly moved their fingers and Sirius, who already looked like he had been dunked in a tub of white wall paint, looked a little more gaunt and ghostly than he did before. Fools, each and every one of them.

Sigh. He should get to work.

Just thinking about how for Luke’s parents every parents worst fear came true. Their son ran away, they haven’t had contact in months, don’t even know if he’s alive or where he is, and then one night they turn on the news and there he is, but it’s not because he’s a star. No. He is dead.

The last words that Luke and his mom said to each other were in anger. And we know that Luke’s dad wasn’t even home when he ran away as we can see him just pulling up in the driveway when Emily runs out.

Luke’s last interaction with his mom is him saying he never wants to see her again, but then up until his last days he regrets saying that and keeps looking for ways to reconnect.

But he never got to, because he died. And how did his parents find out? A news channel.

I love the idea of Alex's farm being this safe place for LIs so much! I don't think Sydney would ever live there because they have a good home with Sirris (maybe they could visit), but what if you could convince Kylar to stay there if you like. Idk, built a really sturdy shed to put his parents in xD And Kylar is already a whiz at science! He could expand on Alex's lab and make pepper spray for everyone to use on Remy's thugs! Plus I know it would be sooo much easier to just have an option to walk to school (with Kylar or Whitney or Robin) from the farm, and then walk back to the farm after school. Oh! And we could teach them all how to ride horses! That could be hilarious!!

Sweetheart slow down, yes all the ideas are delightful but I still couldn't grasp the "Kylar parents"?
